Barbara Ann Hopper

FARMINGTON Barbara Ann Hopper, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on November 9, 2023, at Southbrook Nursing Home at the age of 87. She was born on September 13, 1936, in Laurel, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Charles Morgan and Myrtis (Dickey) Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend John D. Hopper Jr., and her great granddaughter, Marlee Savell. Barbara is survived by her children, David (Pat) Hopper of Forest, MS, Mark Hopper of Jackson, MS, and Dawn (Richard Jr.) Russell of Farmington, MO, her grandchildren, Hollie (Adam) Boykin, Brandi (Cody) Savell, Johnathan Russell, and Andrew Russell, her great grandchildren, Albert, Macy, and J.D., along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Barbara formerly worked as a emergency room patient representative for Andersons Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. She enjoyed playing piano, singing, and college football, especially the Ole Miss Rebels but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Tiplersville Baptist Church, 210 County Road 317, Tiplersville, Mississippi. Inurnment at Tiplersville Baptist Church Cemetery.
