Arthur 'Art' Dean Combrink

FARMINGTON - Arthur Combrink passed away on May 4, 2023 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab at the age of 85. He was born February 19, 1938 in Billings, Oklahoma to the late Irvin Combrink and Vera (Galloway) Combrink. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Combrink. Art was raised in Oklahoma where he graduated from Billings High School. He attended Missouri Southern State College after high school and received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. For eleven years he worked for Central School District as a special needs paraprofessional and bus driver. He was very much loved by his students. While with the Central School District he assisted with coaching football. He was also a coach for a baseball community league. Since 2001 Art had been a faithful member of Esther Baptist Church where he taught a senior adult Sunday School class. An avid sports fan, Art's favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinals, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oklahoma Sooners. He enjoyed attending many public school sporting events as well. Anyone who knew him very well knew he was a skilled woodworker and that he loved taking long motorcycle rides. He took great joy in the annual fall campfire get-together with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Willa Hassell; his children, Steve (Lynn) Combrink, Mike (Nancy) Combrink and Vanessa (Lance) Calvert; step-children, Ryan (Angie) Hassell, Quentin (Casey) Hassell, Brandon (Nicole) Hassell and Whitney Murray; seventeen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a sister, Betty VanHoesen. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Parkland Chapel on OO Highway beginning at 10 a.m. with Dr. Todd Buck officiating.
