Angela 'Angie' Marie Heaps

FARMINGTON Angela "Angie" Marie Heaps, of Farmington, entered into her eternal home on August 5, 2022, at the age of 33. She was born on October 27, 1988, in St. Louis to Martin Smith and the late Catherine (Dickens) Smith. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her three angel babies, her grandparents, Jack H. Smith and Mary B. (Bergmann) Smith, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Delmer "Darrell" and Brenda Heaps. Angie is survived by her loving husband, Luke Heaps, her father, Martin "Marty" Smith of Imperial, her sisters, Katie (Chris) Boyer of Park Hills and Mary (Rob Hahn) Smith of Festus, her grandparents, Butch and Ann Waters of OFallon, MO, and Jim Dickens of St. Charles, nine nieces and nephews who she was a second mom and Gigi to, Todd, Maddi (Nathan), J.B., Annie "Roser", Judy, Logan, A.J., Emily, and Miley May, her brothers-in-law, Doug (Roxanne) Heaps and Kevin (Karen) Heaps, her sister-in-law, Donna (Ray) Hutchings, her special aunt, Bonnie Sandoval, along with a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and Gigis bad girl, Tiny. Angie was employed at Centene Corporation where she was a business analyst. She worked on and helped build a national transplant contracting team with a host of coworkers that quickly became friends. Angie absolutely loved her job, and she often called it her "dream job". She was very athletic and a fierce competitor. She was an avid sports fan and was Yadier Molinas biggest fan. She fiercely loved boy bands and giraffes. Angie was an unselfish and kindhearted person who never met a stranger. As an organ, eye, and tissue donor, Angie gave the most precious gift as her final act of kindness and will continue to live on in those recipients that were blessed by her. Angie was a devout Christian, was strong in her faith and even though we know she is now with her Lord, she will be dearly missed. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Open Heart Assembly of God Church, 1803 North Washington Street in Farmington officiated by Reverend Jim Kaminski, Jr. A fellowship dinner will immediately follow the service at Parks Hills 1st Assembly of God, 1104 St. Joe Drive, Park Hills.
