Andrew Bereniski

Andrew Bereniski of Ste. Genevieve passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the age of 85 years. He was born on May 15, 1926, at Ste. Genevieve, MO, son of the late Phillip and Margaret (Jarbo) Bereniski. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Harry Bereniski. "Andy" grew up in Ste. Genevieve County on the family farm where he still lived and farmed until the time of his passing. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and fishing. He will be most remembered for being a person who was always there when you needed him and eager to help others. He enjoyed listening to music and visiting with his close friends. Andy's true passion was farm work and tending to animals throughout his life. Survivors include his younger brother, Phillip Bereniski and his sister, Genevieve Rottler; several nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends. Last but not least, he is also survived by his loving companion, Biscuit the dog. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 23. Visitation will resume Friday morning at 7 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Rev. Dave Pinkston officiating.
