Alta Buchanan

FARMINGTON - Alta Ada Buchanan of Farmington passed away, Monday, September 28, 2015 at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 86 years. She was born December 22, 1928 in Ste. Genevieve County daughter of the late Isaac Eli and Mary Magdalena (Govreau) Thomure. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Vernon Buchanan, brother-in-law Norval Buchanan, and a nephew William Buchanan. She is survived by her sister Beulah Buchanan of Temple, TX, niece Beverly (& Robert) Crocker of Temple, TX, and numerous great-nieces and nephews, other relatives, and dear friends both here and in Texas. Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation will resume on Friday morning after 7 a.m. and continue until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Bob Webb officiating. Interment will be in the Peasant Hill United Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Presbyterian Hospice of Farmington.
