Alma Lunsford

FARMINGTON Alma "Novella" Lunsford, 94, passed October 23, 2017 at Community Manor in Farmington. She was born August 30, 1923 in Patton to the late Ira Moyer and Lauretta (Farmer) Moyer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. George T. Lunsford; one sister and five brothers.

Novella grew up and attended school in Patton. She met and married the love of her life. George T. Lunsford and they settled in Elvins. She had a special close relationship with her only sister, Doretta Martin. A woman of faith, Novella always enjoyed attending church. She cherished time spent with family.

Survivors include a special bonus daughter, her niece, Becky (Bill) Bonnell; and a bonus granddaughter, Laura Redmond. She was a beloved "Yaya" to Alaynah Logan, Bryson Logan, Tristan Redmond and Tyler Redmond; and a brother, Herseal "Curlie" Moyer. Many more dear nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.

Friends may call Wednesday, October 25, at Cozean Memorial Chapel beginning at 12 noon until the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Dale Stringer officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Womens Shelter in Bonne Terre.
