Alma Geraldine Griffith

FARMINGTON - Alma G. Griffith, of Farmington, Passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 83 years. She was born May 14, 1930 at Coffman, daughter of the late Harry and Audell (Bloom) Richey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph R. Griffith and a sister Janice Russell. Alma was a long-time and faithful member of the Pine Log Baptist Church of Coffman. Before retirement she had worked in the clerical department at the Agricultural Stabilization & Conservation office at Ste. Genevieve. She is survived by: two sons, Russell Boland of Milford, Kansas and Thomas Boland of Junction City, Kansas, four daughters, Jackie (Mrs. Kerry) Ayers of Farmington, Joyce DeClue of Farmington, Jean (Mrs. Homer) McBride of Farmington, and Debbie (Mrs. Michael) Toney of Piedmont; four sisters, Mary (Mrs. Perry) Smith of Ste. Genevieve, Virginia House of Perryville, Sylvia Mayberry of Perryville, and Wanda (Mrs. Jim) Pirtle of Farmington, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives, friends, and neighbors. Friends may call after 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel &-Crematory on Tuesday July 23, 2013. The funeral service will be at 2p.m. On Wednesday at the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Tim Mattingly officiating. Interment will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens at Farmington. Memorials, if desired, may be made to either the Alzheimer's Foundation or the National Parkinson's Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
