Adele Louise Weaver, of Warrenton, formerly of Farmington, passed away June 30, 2013 at the age of 95. She was born in Chicago, IL on November 1, 1917 to the late Walter and Gertrude (Linden) Schottmiller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Ted Weaver, in August of 1990; a brother, Ray Schottmiller; and granddaughter, Amanda DiGirolamo. Adele attended school in Chicago where she graduated in 1935. She was an active volunteer throughout her adult life with the American Red Cross. Adele was a faithful member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington until such time as she moved to Illinois to live with her daughter, in 2003. Her family will remember her wonderful homemaking skills which included cooking and quilting. She was proud of the fact that she taught all nine of her grandchildren to drive. She was also an avid reader of romance novels. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Branon and Joan Blumenthal and husband, Erv; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Friends may call on Friday, July 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume Saturday morning from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Father James Dyer as celebrant. Memorials may be made to Catholic Masses. Interment will be held at New Calvary Cemetery in Farmington.
