Addie Sue Cureton, of Farmington, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the age of 76. She was born on January 11, 1937, at Farmington, daughter of the late Harry Lawrence and Emma Amilda (Helms) Johnson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Cureton Hafley; a grandson, Joshua Wampler and an infant brother, Harry Lawrence Johnson, Jr. Addie was a lifelong resident of Farmington. She was a health care aide in the nursing home industry and private home care for many years. When she wasn't busy raising her seven children, she enjoyed reading and quilting. She will be remembered for being a "second mom" to many, including her beloved grandkids, as well as her neighborhood children. Survivors include her children, Susan Meyer, Lonnie Cureton and wife, Michelle, Harold Cureton, Crystal MacDonald, Sheril "Annie" Cureton and Ray Cureton and wife, Rachel; a special grandson, Aaron who was like a son to Addie; ten beloved grandchildren, Michael, Monica, Julie, Jennifer, Danielle, Amy, Ashley, Austin, Cameron, and Katie; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Wells and Jeannie (Mrs. Darrell) Cole. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
