David R. Chandler

FARMINGTON – David R. Chandler, of Farmington, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 74. He was born on August 16, 1950, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to George and Delena (Hedrick) Chandler.

David was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Rhonda K. Chandler.

David is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ada (nee Gregory) Chandler; one son, Gregory (Kaydee) Chandler; one daughter, Carrie Davis Kent; four grandchildren, Maddie (Dylan) Schneiderjohn, Jacob Davis (special friend, Colleen), Ethan Chandler, and Eli Chandler; and two great-grandchildren, Juniper Schneiderjohn and Bronson Schneiderjohn. David is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

David worked at Trimfoot Shoe Company until it closed, and then he worked at Farmington Correctional Center until he retired in May 2019. David loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors finding peace and joy in nature’s beauty. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel.
